West Wilts U10s and U12s Shine at Swindon Hockey Tournament

West Wilts Hockey Club’s U10 and U12 teams enjoyed a fantastic day of hockey at the Swindon HC tournament on Sunday 18 October, with favourable weather providing the perfect backdrop for a brilliant day of junior hockey.

Both teams took to the pitch with bags of enthusiasm, showing great dedication to one another and demonstrating some excellent hockey skills throughout the tournament. Facing opposition from clubs including North Wilts, Corsham and Swindon, the players rose to the challenge, working hard as a team, supporting their teammates and showing plenty of determination across their matches.

It was particularly pleasing to see the teamwork and commitment on display, with players encouraging one another and putting into practice the skills they have been developing at training. There were some excellent passages of play, great teamwork and plenty of moments to celebrate.

A special mention must go to Maia and our two Felixes, who all produced some excellent goalkeeping performances. Their bravery, concentration and fantastic saves helped make it a memorable day for the teams!

Most importantly, everyone came away from the tournament absolutely buzzing, having enjoyed a brilliant day of hockey, made memories and continued to develop as players and teammates.

We’re incredibly proud of all our U10 and U12 players and grateful to Swindon HC for hosting such an enjoyable tournament.

Next stop: Marlborough in November! We’re already looking forward to the next tournament and seeing our young West Wilts players back out on the pitch, ready for more hockey, teamwork and fun.

Well done, everyone — keep up the great work!
